At Least 1 Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 50 Wednesday
Rancho Cordova, CA (June 10, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run collision occurred on U.S. Route 50 resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Our sources indicated a black Jeep Cherokee collided with another vehicle on the eastbound lanes of US-50, also known as El Dorado Freeway. The crash happened near Sunrise Boulevard offramp in Rancho Cordova.
Shortly after 4 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site. Paramedics rendered aid to all parties found in the area; and later confirmed one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Additional details on the vehicle have not been discussed thus far.

Meanwhile, authorities said the other car involved in the collision fled the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed the hit-and-run suspect was driving a silver Saturn. The man was last seen heading west on the freeway.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the hit-and-run collision in Rancho Cordova.
