1 Seriously Injured in Linden Crash at Highway 26 and Wimer Road
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (September 5, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person at Highway 26 and Wimer Road in Linden.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Sunday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident shortly before 11 p.m.
CHP said two cars collided for an unknown reason in Linden. They crashed at the intersection of Highway 26 and North Wimer Road.
2 Cars Collide
The report described the vehicles as a 2021 silver Toyota Corolla and a 2018 blue Toyota Camry. One of them obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 26 and Wimer Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Linden crash is still under investigation.
