Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in China Lake Acres Crash at Ward and Strecker
KERN COUNTY, CA (September 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Ward Avenue and Strecker Street in China Lake Acres.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4:51 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and a vehicle collided in the China Lake Acres area of Kern County. They crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of West Ward Avenue and Strecker Street.
Collision Near Ridgecrest
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Ridgecrest. They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP shut down the intersection of Ward Avenue and Strecker Street following the wreck. The cause of the China Lake Acres crash is still under investigation.
