At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Avocado Highway Sunday
Fallbrook, CA (September 12, 2021) – One person died and another suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on the Interstate 15 Freeway early Sunday, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided in the southbound side of the freeway near Mission Road in Fallbrook. The force from the impact cause one vehicle to veer off the roadway and slam into the barrier along I-15, also known as Avocado Highway.
The CHP logged the incident at about 1:20 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location they found two people with serious injuries. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the driver but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Meanwhile, the accident dispatch mentioned the passenger was rushed to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Several factors surrounding the fatal car crash in Fallbrook remained unclear. Given that, detectives continue to investigate exactly what happened here and why.
