2 Injured in Lucerne Valley Crash on Highway 18 Near Custer Avenue
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (October 2, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 18 near Custer Avenue in Lucerne Valley.
According to an article published by The Victor Valley News, the accident took place late Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11 a.m.
A gold-colored Ford pickup truck and a black 4-door sedan collided for an unknown reason in Lucerne Valley. The two crashed on Highway 18 near Custer Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
Both cars obtained extensive front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
A total of two people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Two helicopters then took the patients to trauma centers for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 18 to shut down near Custer following the wreck.
The cause of the Lucerne Valley crash is still under investigation.
