2 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Highway 99 Near Florin Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 2, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 near Florin Road in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Friday evening, October 1. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 8:46 p.m.
CHP determined that a pickup truck and a Lexus SUV collided for an unknown reason in the city of Sacramento. The two crashed on southbound side of Highway 99, just south of Florin Road.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of two people hurt. Both sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patients to the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
