1 Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on 5 Freeway at 4th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 3, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 5 Freeway and 4th Street in Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 9:20 p.m.
The incident happened on October 2 when a blue Toyota Tundra and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Los Angeles.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP said the two crashed on the northbound 5 Freeway at 4th Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found an occupant of the Toyota who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the northbound 5 Freeway at 4th Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
