Vladimir Pineda-Gomez, 28, Killed in Hercules Crash on Interstate 80
HERCULES, CA (October 4, 2021) – Vladimir Pineda-Gomez was killed after a car crash on the Interstate 80 in Hercules.
The coroner’s office identified the 28-year-old Richmond man as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Sunday morning.
The incident began when Vladimir Pineda-Gomez was driving a Honda Accord south on the Interstate 80 in Hercules. For an unknown reason, he struck the rear of a Toyota Yaris.
3 Injured in Car Collision
The California Highway Patrol said both vehicles spun out of control upon impact. The Honda became disabled in one of the lanes near Highway 4.
An oncoming Lexus RX350 then hit the Accord in the process. The East Bay Times and KRON 4 News wrote that the accident took place on October 3 at about 1:25 a.m.
Vladimir Pineda-Gomez died at the scene of the Hercules collision. A total of three more people ended up injured as a result of the collision.
Paramedics soon took the patients to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the cause of Hercules crash is still under investigation.
