1 Seriously Injured in San Bernardino Crash on 215 Freeway Near University
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 4, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 215 Freeway near University Parkway in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place early Monday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 2:23 a.m.
CHP determined that two vehicles collided in the city of San Bernardino. They crashed for an unknown reason on the 215 Freeway near University Parkway.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one vehicle with front-end damage and broken front tires.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of the 215 Freeway to shut down near University following the wreck.
The cause of the San Bernardino crash is still under investigation.
