1 Injured in Ontario Hit-and-Run Crash on 60 Freeway Near Grove Avenue
ONTARIO, CA (October 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 60 Freeway near Grove Avenue in Ontario.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Monday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 5:50 a.m.
A big rig slammed into a sedan for an unknown reason in Ontario. The two crashed on the westbound side of the 60 Freeway near Grove Avenue.
Big Rig Hits Car, Flees Scene
The impact then forced the car into the center divider. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found an occupant of the sedan hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the big rog did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the Nos 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the 60 Freeway to shut down near Grove following the wreck.
The cause of the Ontario hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
