1 Seriously Injured in Hanford Crash at 16th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard
HANFORD, CA (October 5, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at 16th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard in Hanford.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Tuesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:47 p.m.
CHP determined that two vehicles collided in Hanford. They crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard.
The incident log described the cars as a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a white 4-door sedan. The Chevrolet obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that one of the vehicles involved slammed into and damaged a wooden street light pole nearby. The cause of the Hanford crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of 16th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
