Lisa Cullinan, 51, Killed in Riverside Hit-and-Run at Van Buren and Wood
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 9, 2021) – Lisa Cullinan was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Van Buren Boulevard and Wood Road in Riverside.
The coroner’s office identified the 51-year-old Riverside woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Friday night.
The incident began when Lisa Cullinan was walking northbound on Wood Road, trying to cross Van Buren Boulevard, in Riverside. At the same time, a motorcycle rider was going west on Van Buren.
Police said for an unknown reason, the motorcyclist struck the pedestrian near the intersection. The Press Enterprise and My News LA wrote the accident occurred on October 8 shortly after 11:50 p.m.
Motorcyclist Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the road. Lisa Cullinan sustained serious injuries as a result of the Riverside crash.
Medical personnel soon rushed her to the Riverside University Health System Medical Center where she died. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the rider did not stop to help the woman.
The motorcyclist continued and fled westbound on Van Buren. The cause of the Riverside hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
