Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Los Gatos Crash on Summit Road
LOS GATOS, CA (October 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Summit Road in Los Gatos.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:47 a.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider struck a pedestrian and a dog. The incident happened in the 23800 block of Summit Road in Los Gatos.
Motorcycle Rider Hits Pedestrian
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Loma Prieta Joint Union School District Office. They found the motorcyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that the pedestrian left and chased after the dog. Officers forced a stretch of Summit Road to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Los Gatos crash is still under investigation.
