1 Injured in Stockton Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 4 at Stanislaus Street
STOCKTON, CA (October 12, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 4 and Stanislaus Street in Stockton.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:36 p.m.
According to CHP, at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Stockton. They crashed on the westbound Highway 4 at the Stanislaus Street off-ramp.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a silver Dodge Caravan and a black colored sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the westbound Highway 4 at Stanislaus Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Stockton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
