Child Pedestrian Injured in Lamont Hit-and-Run Crash on Di Giorgio Road
LAMONT, CA (October 14, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Di Giorgio Road in Lamont.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 6:38 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the juvenile pedestrian in Lamont. The driver hit the child for an unknown reason in the 7000 block of Di Giorgio Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Di Giorgio Road Apartments. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not release the condition of the wounded party at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the roadway to close following the collision.
The cause of the Lamont hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
