Motorcycle Rider Seriously Injured in Napa Crash on Silverado Trail Near Winery
NAPA, CA (October 29, 2021) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured after a crash on Silverado Trail near a winery in Napa.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 2:30 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a black 2016 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle and a Tesla collided in the city of Napa. The two crashed for an unknown reason at 6150 Silverado Trail.
Motorcycle and Tesla Collide
The Tesla obtained major side damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene the Stags’ Leap Winery.
Medical personnel found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Tesla ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck.
Officers forced both lanes of Silverado Trail to shut down for more than an hour after the incident. The cause of the Napa motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
