2 Injured in Anderson Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 273 Near Casino
ANDERSON, CA (October 31, 2021) – Two pedestrians were injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 273 near a casino in Anderson.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the incident on October 29 at around 11:20 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the two pedestrians for an unknown reason in Anderson. The car hit them from behind on Highway 273, known as South Market Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Win-River Resort and Casino. They found the victims hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated both patients for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to help the victims and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 273 to close following the collision.
The cause of the Anderson hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
