Fatal Traffic Collision Near Booker Creek Road Saturday
Saratoga, CA (November 17, 2021) – Evan Astillero, a 21-year-old San Jose resident, died following a car accident that occurred on Highway 9 on November 13, Saturday.
The Mercury News published an article online reporting a solo-vehicle crashed on the highway in Saratoga. Officials said Evan Astillero was a passenger in a 2003 Lexus traveling at an unknown direction on Highway 9. When the car approached the area near Booker Creek Road, the driver allowed the car to veer off the traffic lanes.
Our sources indicated the Lexus ended up slamming into a tree. Per local news source, the car came to a rest flipped on its side approximately 30 feet down an embankment.

Shortly after 10:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the passenger unconscious after the collision. Despite life-saving measures, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Evan Astillero.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the Lexus.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the deadly car accident in Saratoga happened.
