Woman Seriously Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run Near Olive and Lafayette
FRESNO, CA (November 22, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash near Olive and Lafayette avenues in Fresno.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley News, the accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the incident shortly before 8 p.m.
The incident began when a female pedestrian was walking across Olive Avenue near the intersection with Lafayette Avenue in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle then struck her for an unknown reason. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the woman hurt on the ground.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
She sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon took the patient to a local hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the site.
Officers forced the area of Olive and Lafayette avenues to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
