Sidney Carpenter, 57, Killed in Clovis Pedestrian Crash Near Bullard and Temperance
CLOVIS, CA (November 28, 2021) – A pedestrian crash killed Sidney Carpenter near Bullard and Temperance avenues in Clovis.
Police identified the 57-year-old Clovis man as the victim in the fatal collision which took place on Saturday evening.
The incident began when Sidney Carpenter was crossing Bullard Avenue from north to south in the city of Clovis. At the same time, a vehicle was going east.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver then struck him. The victim was hit near the intersection with Temperance Avenue.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon found him lying on the ground. Sidney Carpenter sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News wrote that the accident occurred on November 27 at around 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped, stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. The cause of the Clovis pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
