At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on San Diego (405) Freeway Friday
Irvine, CA (December 13, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway.
Initial records indicated two or more vehicles collided in the northbound side of the freeway at Culver Drive in Irvine. The CHP logged the incident at about 12:01 a.m. on December 10, Friday.
When emergency teams arrived at the crash site, they found a gray BMW disabled along San Diego (405) Freeway, Responding medical personnel checked the conditions of all the occupants in the BWM. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed at least one driver fled the scene after the collision. Detectives continue to work at this time to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
