Victim Injured in Hit-and-Run at Tucker Road and Tehachapi Boulevard
TEHACHAPI, CA (December 21, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at Tucker Road and Tehachapi Boulevard in Tehachapi.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:14 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the victim for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person, described as an employee, at the intersection of Tucker Road and West Tehachapi Boulevard.
Driver Hits Employee, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Walmart Supercenter. They found the victim who ended up a result of the collision
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the employee and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Tucker and Tehachapi to shut down following the hit-and-run crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
