1 Killed, 1 Injured in San Diego County Crash on San Felipe Road Near Ranchita
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (December 29, 2021) – A crash killed one person and injured another on San Felipe Road near Ranchita in San Diego County.
According to The San Diego Union-Tribune and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:50 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason on San Felipe Road near Ranchita in San Diego County.
2 Vehicles Collide
They crashed about five miles south of Montezuma Valley Road. Officers described one of the cars involved as a red Ford Focus.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then confirmed that one occupant died as a result of the collision. Another individual ended up hurt upon impact.
Medical personnel took the patient to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of San Felipe Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the fatal San Diego County crash is still under investigation.
