Major Injury Collision Near Cherry Valley Boulevard Tuesday
Calimesa, CA (January 11, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 10 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said a tanker truck crashed for an unknown reason in the eastbound side of the highway. The collision took place Tuesday morning near Cherry Valley Boulevard. Preliminary investigation revealed the big rig was carrying 300 gallons of unspecified load at the time of the incident.
CHP logged the case at approximately 11:30 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived, they immediately rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. Authorities later confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information on the victim have not been revealed thus far.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the traffic crash on Interstate 10 in Calimesa.
