Gregory Masters, 90, Killed in Indio Crash at Miles and Heritage Palms
INDIO, CA (January 15, 2022) – Gregory Masters was killed after a car crash at Miles Avenue and Heritage Palms Drive in Indio.
The coroner’s office identified the 90-year-old Indio man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened when Gregory Masters was riding a vehicle which collided with another for an unknown reason in Indio.
The Riverside County Fire Department said the two crashed at the intersection of Miles Avenue and Heritage Palms Drive. At least two people became pinned in the wreckage upon impact.
4 Seriously Injured in Wreck
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then extricated the trapped occupants. A total of five people, including Gregory Masters, ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Gregory Masters and two more victims sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. The other two patients survived with moderate injuries.
An air ambulance took one of them while ground ambulances rushed the others to a hospital for treatment. The elderly man died at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Medical Center.
The NBC Palm Springs and KESQ News wrote that the accident occurred on January 14 at about 4:44 p.m. Meanwhile, the cause of the Indio crash is still under investigation.
