Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Atwater Crash Near Juniper and Buhach
ATWATER, CA (January 19, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash near Juniper Avenue and Buhach Road in Atwater.
According to The Merced Sun Star and Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at at about 3 p.m.
The incident happened when a juvenile pedestrian was heading east across North Buhach Road near East Juniper Avenue in Atwater. At the same time, a black two-door Honda was going north.
Juvenile Hit by Car
For an unknown reason, the car then struck the victim. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the child who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
A helicopter soon took the patient to the Memorial Hospital in Modesto for treatment of moderate to major injuries. Medical personnel listed the juvenile in stable condition.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Juniper and Buhach to shut down following the collision.
