Truck Strikes, Kills Man on Highway 70 Thursday
Palermo, CA (January 27, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 70 Thursday.
According to an article published online by KRCRTV, two vehicles hit a male party in the southbound side of SR-70. The collision took place in the area just south of Palermo Road.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was trying to get his dogs after they ran onto the highway. In the process, a truck struck him. Another car traveling behind was unable to avoid and run over the body lying on the ground.

When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the victim. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the man but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives stayed at the scene to determine several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate incident. Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly accident on State Route 70 in Palermo.
