At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Burnt Valley Road Friday
Anza, CA (January 28, 2022) – One person died, and two others suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 371.
The NBC Palm Springs News reported a sedan drifted off the roadway and plunged approximately 100 feet down the roadway. According to the article published online, the car overturned and landed on its roof.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location–near Burnt Valley Road in Anza. First responders found two juveniles involved in the crash. Two Mercy Air helicopters airlifted the 6-year-old boy, and the 2-year-old girl to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities added a third adult sustained injuries, and a fourth occupant sadly died as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash on Highway 371 in Anza.
