At Least 1 Killed in Rollover Collision on Highway 86 Tuesday
Thermal, CA (February 8, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 86 Tuesday.
Initial records indicated a semi truck carrying oranges rolled over on the highway in Thermal. The catastrophic incident took place in the area near Marina Drive.
The CHP logged the case at approximately 5:20 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found at least one person unconscious. Paramedics attempted to save the victim and performed life-saving measures. Sadly, the motorist succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Firefighters were requested at the scene to clear the oranges scattered across all the lanes of the highway. Given that, officers shut down SR-86 to give way to the clean up and investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly truck accident on State Route 86 in Thermal.
