At Least 1 Hurt in Collision at Johnson Street and Plonski Road Monday
Mecca, CA (February 10, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspect hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Johnson Street and Plonski Road.
On February 7, Monday, two vehicles collided at the intersection in Mecca. The force from the impact pushed the gray Toyota Nissan sedan on the right-hand shoulder of the crossing. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other car involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 2:30 p.m. According to the CHP dispatch, responding paramedics rendered aid to at least one person found with injuries. The name of the victim and the extent of their trauma remained unknown.
Officials later confirmed the other car involved in the mishap fled the scene. At this time, detectives continue to gather information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the car crash at Johnson Street and Plonski Road.
