3 Injured in Pedestrian and Car Crash on Van Nuys Boulevard Near City Hall
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 11, 2022) – Several were injured, including a pedestrian, after a crash on Van Nuys Boulevard in the Van Nuys neighborhood.
According to The Daily News and My News LA, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly after 1:10 p.m.
Los Angeles Fire Department said two cars collided for an unknown reason in the area of 6400 Van Nuys Boulevard. In the process, one of them struck a male pedestrian.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Van Nuys City Hall and found the pedestrian lying on the ground. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the man to a hospital and listed him in critical condition. A woman ended up hospitalized in serious condition.
Officials also took another man for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of the Van Nuys Boulevard to shut down following the collision. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
