Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Nipomo Crash on Jones Lane Near Black Lake Canyon
NIPOMO, CA (February 25, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Jones Lane in Nipomo.
According to an article published by the KSBY News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly after 2:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a female pedestrian was walking on Jones Lane in Nipomo. At the same time, a vehicle was traveling on Black Lake Canyon Road.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver then made a left-hand turn onto Jones Lane. In the process, the car struck the 71-year-old Nipomo woman in the roadway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed her to a hospital for treatment of a broken arm and head trauma. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the 70-year-old Nipomo woman driving the car ended up hurt after hitting the pedestrian. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Officers forced a stretch of Jones Lane to shut down south of Black Lake Canyon following the crash.
