Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in North Highlands Crash Near Walerga and Bainbridge
NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (March 8, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a bicycle rider near Walerga Road and Bainbridge Drive in North Highlands.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 9:38 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in North Highlands. The driver hit the cyclist on northbound Walerga Road, just south of the intersection with Bainbridge Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the area of Walerga and Bainbridge to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the North Highlands bicycle crash is still under investigation.
