High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Collision Near Main Street Sunday
Vallecito, CA (March 10, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 4 near Main Street, the Union-Democrat News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed 49-year-old Deana Capurro was driving a 2014 Audi heading east on the highway. According to the article published online, Capurro crashed head-on into a motorcyclist who crossed over the double yellow lines at a curve on the highway near Main Street.

The catastrophic incident took place on March 6, Sunday.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found Capurro and her passenger both with injuries. Paramedics transported the injured passenger to Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas; while Capurro received treatment for minor injuries and released at the scene.
Officials later reported the motorcyclist sadly died as a result of the collision. Per local news source, when the unfortunate event happened, the rider was fleeing from a California Highway Patrol officer who tried to pull him over for allegedly running a stop sign.
Further investigation is ongoing on the fatal crash on Highway 4 in Vallecito.
