1 Injured in Crash at Byron Highway and Marsh Creek Road
BYRON, CA (March 27, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Byron Highway and Marsh Creek Road in Byron.
According to an article published by the East County Today, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck on March 26 at about 6:48 a.m.
The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Brentwood. They crashed on Byron Highway at the intersection with Marsh Creek Road.
2 Cars Collide in Byron
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the cars as a gray BMW sedan and a black pickup truck.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage. An air ambulance took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers the area of Byron Highway and Marsh Creek to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Byron crash is still under investigation.
