1 Killed in Kern County Crash at Merced and Magnolia Avenues Near Wasco
KERN COUNTY, CA (March 30, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person at Merced and Magnolia avenues near Wasco in Kern County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:05 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Wasco in Kern County. They crashed at the intersection of Merced and Magnolia avenues.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a Ford Mustang and a Dodge pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Merced and Magnolia avenues to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Kern County crash is still under investigation.
