Juan Gutierrez, 40, Injured in San Miguel Crash at Indian Valley and Vineyard Canyon
SAN MIGUEL, CA (April 5, 2022) – A fatal car crash at Indian Valley Road and Vineyard Canyon Road left Juan Gutierrez injured in San Miguel.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 40-year-old San Miguel man as the victim of the wreck which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Juan M.L. Gutierrez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado south on Vineyard Canyon Road in San Miguel. At the same time, a Mazda 3 was going north on Indian Valley Road.
Man, 24, Killed in Wreck
For an unknown reason, the Mazda made a direct left turn into the path of the Chevrolet. In the process, the sedan slammed head-on into the pickup truck.
Paramedics treated Juan Gutierrez at the scene for the minor injuries he sustained in the crash. The Tribune and KEYT News wrote that the accident occurred on April 4 at around 3:35 p.m.
CHP affirmed that the passenger in the Mazda, a 24-year-old Paso Robles man, died as a result of the collision. The driver, 19-year-old Bradley resident Noah Calvin, survived with minor wounds.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo for further aid. Meanwhile, the cause of the San Miguel crash is still under investigation.
