Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision at Indian Valley and Vineyard Canyon Road
San Miguel, CA (April 6, 2022) – Diego Hernandez, a 24-year-old man, died following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Indian Valley and Vineyard Canyon Road.
The KSBY News reported Hernandez was a passenger in a Mazda traveling in the streets of San Miguel on April 4, Monday. When Mazda approached the intersection a Indian Valley and Vineyard Canyon, the driver apparently turned into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
According to the article published online, Mazda and the pickup truck collided into each other at approximately 3:30 p.m.
San Miguel Car Crash Kills Passenger, Injures 2 Drivers
First responders found at the scene two occupants with injuries in the Mazda. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, Diego Hernandez sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old man driving the Mazda reportedly sustained moderate injuries in the crash. An ambulance transported the patient to a local hospital for further treatment.
From the other vehicle involved in the catastrophic incident, the 40-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. The name of the injured victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash in San Miguel.
