1 Killed, 1 Injured in Middletown Crash on Highway 29 Near Grange Road
LAKE COUNTY, CA (April 9, 2022) – A head-on crash killed one person and injured another on Highway 29 near Middletown.
According to an article published by the Lake County News, the tragic accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5:20 p.m.
The incident happened on April 8 when two cars collided head-on for an unknown reason on Highway 29, north of Middletown, in Lake County.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
The California Highway Patrol described the vehicles as two sedans, one black and one white. The cars crashed just south of Grange Road.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Crazy Creek gliderport. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to another patient who sustained minor injuries upon impact. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 29 to shut down near Grange Road for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Middletown crash is still under investigation.
