Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision at Mineral King Avenue and Mooney Boulevard
Visalia, CA (April 17, 2022) – Police arrested 30-year-old Eloy Madrid in relation with a DUI hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Mineral King Avenue and Mooney Boulevard.
According to an article published online by Your Central Valley, Madrid was driving a vehicle in the streets of Visalia. Earlier reports indicated the allegedly drunk motorist struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Mineral King and Mooney.
The collision took place Friday at approximately 7 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the pedestrian with injuries. Responding paramedics transported the patient to the hospital for treatment.
Eloy Madrid Arrested in Visalia DUI Crash
Meanwhile, officials mentioned Eloy Madrid fled the scene after the collision. Authorities eventually found the suspect, then booked him into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for a felony DUI charge.
Further investigation is ongoing.
