Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Oceanside Crash on El Camino Real Near Coco Palms
OCEANSIDE, CA (April 22, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on El Camino Real near Coco Palms Drive in Oceanside.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision shortly before 8:15 p.m.
Police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Oceanside. The driver hit him on El Camino Real near Coco Palms Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene just north of state Route 76. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
An air ambulance then took the man in his 50s to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. The cause of the Oceanside pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced El Camino Real to shut down in both directions at Los Arbolitos Boulevard and Coco Palms Drive following the collision.
