Jose Mendoza, 49; and Jose Sanchez, 51, Injured in San Andreas Crash on Highway 4
SAN ANDREAS, CA (June 21, 2022) – A motorcycle crash left Jose Mendoza and Jose Sanchez injured on Highway 4 in San Andreas.
The California Highway Patrol identified the two riders as victims of the collision which took place on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened when Jose Mendoza, 49; and Jose Sanchez, 51, were riding their motorcycles west on Highway 4 in San Andreas. At the same time, a third motorcyclist was going east.
CHP said for an unknown reason, the third rider crossed over the double yellow lines as he entered a curve. That motorcyclist, 50-year-old Jason Logan, then slammed into the other men.
Several Motorcycle Riders Collide
All three riders ended up ejected from their bikes due to the impact of the collision. Their motorcycles rolled over onto the pavement, just east of Pool Station Road.
Jose Mendoza, of Manteca, sustained serious injuries, and Jose Sanchez, of Stockton, survived the crash with minor wounds. Jason Logan suffered major injuries as a result of the incident.
Paramedics rushed the patients to medical centers for treatment. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 4 to shut down following the wreck.
The KVGC Radio and My Mother Lode wrote that the accident occurred on June 18 at about 3:35 p.m. The cause of the San Andreas crash is still under investigation.
