1 Killed in Crash Near Byron Highway and Lindemann Road
BYRON, CA (June 21, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person near Byron Highway and Lindemann Road in Byron.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:31 p.m.
CHP said the incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of Byron Highway and Lindemann Road.
2 Cars Collide
The dispatch described the cars as a white Honda Accord and another sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one individual died as as a result of the incident. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The report did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck. Meanwhile, CHP forced Byron Highway to shut down at Lindemann in both directions for several hours after the incident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
