Martha Davis, 86, Killed in Chico Pedestrian Crash on Forest Avenue
CHICO, CA (June 28, 2022) – Martha Davis was killed after a pedestrian crash on Forest Avenue in Chico.
Police identified the 86-year-old Chico woman as the victim in the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened when Martha Davis was crossing Forest Avenue near Hartford Drive in Chico. Police said for an unknown reason, a car then struck her.
Woman Hit by Car
The Oroville Mercury Register and KRCRTV News wrote that the accident occurred at around 10:03 a.m. Martha Davis sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian collision.
Paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found her down on the ground. Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital, where she died.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 32-year-old man driving the vehicle and his two female passengers stopped and stayed at the site.
Officers forced a stretch of Forest Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the Chico pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
