1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Jurupa Valley Crash on Sierra Avenue
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (July 2. 2022) – A car crash killed one person and seriously injured another on Sierra Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the tragic incident late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:21 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Jurupa Valley. Cal Fire said the cars crashed in the 7100 block of Sierra Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. They soon pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
Another party sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Sierra Avenue to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Jurupa Valley crash is still under investigation.
