1 Injured in Hesperia Crash at Main Street and Mesa Linda Avenue
HESPERIA, CA (July 10, 2022) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Main Street and Mesa Linda Avenue in Hesperia
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place last week on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:48 a.m.
The incident happened on July 3 when a sedan had a green light and was trying to make a left turn onto Mesa Linda Avenue from Main Street.
Hesperia police said a semi-truck ran through the light for an unknown reason and collided with the car in the intersection. The big rig continued for several hundred feet upon impact.
Semi-Truck Hits Car
The truck then slammed into a fire hydrant and a high-pressure water valve along the edge of the sidewalk. The semi came to a stop in front of the Beyond gas station where it caught fire.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in front of the Tractor Supply store. They found the male driver of the sedan who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Main and Mesa Linda to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
