3 Injured in Valencia Crash on Interstate 5 Near Magic Mountain Parkway
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 12, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a crash on the Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.
According to an article published by The Signal, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:24 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol a Transit Services Bureau bus and a small Toyota collided for an unknown reason in the Valencia neighborhood.
Inmate Transport Bus and Car Collide
The two crashed on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Magic Mountain Parkway. The inmates were were heading to Pitchess Detention Center at the time.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patients to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Magic Mountain following the wreck. The cause of the Valencia crash is still under investigation.
