1 Killed, 3 Injured in North Sacramento Crash Near Northgate and Sotano
NORTH SACRAMENTO, CA (August 2, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured several others near Northgate Boulevard and Sotano Drive in North Sacramento.
According to the CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5 p.m.
Sacramento police said the incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of Northgate Boulevard and Sotano Drive.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of four people hurt. One of them, a woman, sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed all four individuals to the hospital, where the woman died. The other three patients survived the incident with non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Northgate and Sotano to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal North Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
