1 Seriously Injured in Knights Ferry Crash at Highway 108 and Kennedy Road
KNIGHTS FERRY, CA (August 6, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Highway 108 and Kennedy Road in Knights Ferry.
According to an article published by My Mother Lode, the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 11 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Knights Ferry. They crashed on Highway 108 at the intersection with Kennedy Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a sports sedan and an SUV. The sedan went into a ditch and then came to a stop with major front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They freed one trapped occupant of the sedan from the wreckage.
An air ambulance took the patient to a Modesto hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 108 and Kennedy Road to shut down for over two hours following the wreck. The cause of the Knights Ferry crash is still under investigation.
