3 Hospitalized After Collision Near Half Moon Bay Airport
El Granada, CA (August 10, 2022) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred on Highway 1, the East Bay Times News reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided on the highway near Half Moon Bay Airport Wednesday afternoon. According to the article published online, a man driving an SUV swerved off the road due to alleged intoxication. The driver of the SUV apparently overcorrected, and veered into the opposite lane.
The SUV ended up crashing into a sedan. Per local news source, the collision took place in El Granada, a village in northern San Mateo County.
Shortly after 4:15 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found as many as three people injured in the crash. Our sources confirmed the SUV driver, his male passenger, and the female driver of the sedan were all transported to Stanford Hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Authorities mentioned at least one patient was airlifted due to their serious condition.
